Pasture raised chicken eggs - 1 dozen

Our pasture-raised chicken eggs are the perfect addition to any breakfast or recipe. These eggs come from chickens that are free to roam and forage for their food on open pastures, ensuring a natural and healthy diet. As a result, our eggs have a richer flavor and a deeper orange yolk compared to factory-farmed eggs. They are also higher in essential nutrients such as Vitamin A and Omega-3 fatty acids. Our eggs are collected daily, graded for the highest quality. They are also hormone and antibiotic-free. You can feel good about serving these eggs to your family and friends, knowing that the chickens that laid them were treated humanely and raised with care. Order now and taste the difference!

  • Unwashed

Unwashed eggs have a longer shelf life than washed eggs because their protective outer layer, called the bloom, remains intact. This layer helps to prevent air and bacteria from penetrating the egg, which can cause spoilage. They can be stored at room temperature for 1-2 weeks, but can last in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks. It is recommended to wash the eggs before use.

  • Availability

Generally available from spring to fall.

Hens naturally lay eggs when days are longer than 14 hours and stop when days are short. We don't use artifical lighting to keep hens laying eggs in the short days of winter, perfering to let their lives be as natural as possible.

  • Variations in size and color

Our goal is make every carton into an Easter basket of color. We've picked a variety of chicken breeds for the colors of their eggs.  Color is determined primarily by the genetics of the hen. We also have some smaller chickens that we've picked just because their looks and personalities, and they lay smaller sized eggs.
