  • Unwashed eggs

    Unwashed eggs have a longer shelf life than washed eggs because their protective outer layer, called the bloom, remains intact. This layer helps to prevent air and bacteria from penetrating the egg, which can cause spoilage. They can be stored at room temperature for 1-2 weeks, but can last in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks. It is recommended to wash the eggs before use.

  • UV Sanitized

    Eggs are sanitized using UV-C light which can significantly reduce the amount of surface virus and bacteria while still leaving the bloom intact. Treating egg shells with UV light is an active area of research in the US, and appears to be in commercial use in other countries. We’ve tested the UV sanitized eggs, and there is no affect in taste or appearance.
